Established in 1988, Behans Fruit and Veg is a family-run Irish business located in the heart of Athlone, Co. Westmeath. We are passionate about sourcing and supplying only the best quality food for our fantastic customers and our wholesale & catering clients.

We offer an amazing selection of fruit, vegetables, salads, artisan cheeses plus a selection of speciality products. We have a range of gift hampers available online or through our shop and offer fruit boxes for our corporate customers. We as a family business we pride ourselves on our quality of products, reliability and customer services.

We source the very best in seasonal produce from our network of local Farmers, and as a family business strongly believe in buying local. Beyond this, our food buyers travel across Ireland to always source the freshest produce available.

Located in a beautiful, nineteenth-century stone complex courtyard, our fabulous building is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm. There is free parking at the rear of the building so why not pop in and select some amazingly fresh, natural produce.
